How often have you watched a video or followed the documentation to install a specific library or set up a server — and it DOESN’T WORK?

I get that not every computer is the same and that mr Google, AWS, and Microsoft tend to change their interface, depreciate commands, etc.

For all those intelligent people who are writing code every day and taking classes to become better, why do we accept this as part of the game?

We can create a script to test daily to see if you can install a library or framework on various virtual machines. Then we can de-install it and do it again daily to send us an automatic notification when something doesn’t work.

Solution 1

Why do we have to do all these configurations by hand, and not like in Last Pass, have a no-code tool that saves all the usernames, keys, and authentication codes for you and directly integrates them into your code?

Solution 2

Why do we need a cloud server or VM connected to a website to run Node JS or Python in a web browser? If someone is smart enough to build Jupiter Notebook and Google Colab, why can’t we make an open-source web browser with the most used languages?

Conclusion

We can remove 80% of all the frustration that people have when we code.

By making sure every tutorial works due to the automation powers of computing.

We can reject powerhouses like Google and Microsoft by building a web browser made to tinker with the code instead of interacting with the output.

In this improved world

  • Web scraping would become accessible.
  • Bots would automate all the repetitive click work.
  • Generative AI can help anyone who doesn’t understand code to create autonomous agents to help.
  • Those who miss the integrations of Chrome and VSC can build their integrations,

This open-source infrastructure could liberate millions of people and could eventually have its decentralized data center economy.
